Thrid week of the 7th grade

 My third week of school was both exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time . It started off with the election results and i found out that i didn't win for Secretary , but it's okay because i know i tried my best and im glad that my other friend Khrizz won (: and im just glad that the feeling of being anxious is over .

 This week im getting pretty used to all my classes and im getting more homework. The only thing I found pretty frustrating is that my elective got changed again. I went from being in band then changing it to the explor wheel class which i got placed in the keyboarding. It was really fun because I like to use computers and plus I had some of my  other friends in the same class. Then....On monday I come to class and find out that my name isn't on the roster and they made a mistake...the class ended up being full so once again, they had to change me to the cooking class.  Anyway, this class is kinda cool and I got some other friends in the same class so it all worked out ok.  Just had to re-adjust.

Wednesday was really fun and exciting because this was our Open House day and Leadership Reunion.  We go to meet past leadership students and hear some of their moments in leadership.  We also got to hear Mr. Ing's leadersip moments too...Open House was very busy, lots of parents and students came out.  It was a pretty good turnout.  My job was to pass out the schedule of events for the Open House. I'm really glad my parents came out.  They really liked meeting some of my teachers and hearing more about what I do in Leadership class.

In Social Studies class, I had to present my poster on the Piapa Project.  Being that my obstacle is being shy, I was really nervous to speak in front of my class and to make matters worse I ended being the first one chosen to speak.  Well, I ended up doing it and after I started to talk, I felt better.  Our teacher said that at the end of our presentation, if she comments on our presentation at the end or on our draft, then we got points deducted.  I didn't get any comments so I'm guessing I got a good grade and no points were deducted.  I felt really relieved and proud of myself for accomplishing this.  Small steps but I'm getting there. 

Friday was the absolute best!  I was really happy and thankful that I got to go to reward day with the rest of my leadership friends.  I didn't know much about the movie we saw (The Odd Life of Timothy Green) and I didn't know what to expect but it was a really good movie and in the end, it made me cry because he died!!  Shopping at Ala Moana was fun too and taking pictures at the Apple Store.  The fireworks show was also really cool!

This was the end of a great week so far...some ups ans downs but hey, I gotta keep positive and hang in there.  This is just the beginning of more to come.... My motto this year, is stay positive, happy, and just be yourself....:)
