FLU SZN
Hey guys! SO January was pretty intense for me. As you can see by the title, I had the flu :( for about a week and it sucked so bad. I still went to senior luau though because ya girl doesn't waste $65 like it's nothing lmao. But anyways, lets start from the beginning. So I spent New Years Eve/Day with my family like always, which was super fun and "lit". Then school started and that's been going pretty good but I'm honestly so over school I can't wait to leave and go to college. I also went to basketball senior night last week for the boys team, and the game was super intense from the get go for the varsity team. I'm so proud of all my friends that are seniors on the team and I'm looking forward to what they get to accomplish with their talents. This past weekend was a highlight because I did my eyebrows, got a HAIRCUT (4 INCHES), and got a PUPPY. So as a lot of people know, my hair has been long for quite some time now and I love long hair but my mom made me cut it. I agreed to do 2 inches, then convinced myself to go with 3, and then when the hairdresser showed me my hair, I asked to go 1 more inch shorter. I'm so proud and shocked because my hair means so much to me and 4 inches took some courage LOL. I also got a puppy!! He's so cute, he's a jack russel terrier corgi and his name is Tommy because my brother likes Tom Brady.
Advice I have for the current class is to treasure your time in leadership and middle school! You really don't realize how fast time passes till you're in your 3rd term of your senior year getting ready to graduate and move on to college. It sounds so cheesy but I'm not even kidding when I tell you that it's such a surreal feeling to finally know that you've been able to go through countless years of school and meet people that you get to keep in your lives forever. Leadership was a blessing for me because I enjoyed the people in my class no matter how many disagreements there were. And the crazy thing is, that I don't talk to any of them daily or see them. But the bond we share is pure and real and that's how you know a friendship is strong.
Something I would like to work on is doing things that I want to do and making sure it's for myself and something I really wanna do. It's hard to please everyone, especially parents but I've realized that in the end your future and career involves you. Nobody else is going to live your life for you so why should you be a people pleaser and do what someone else thinks is gonna make you happy? I'd like to think that I'm a strong minded person for the most part but sometimes I have my weak moments.
ALSO side note, I'm doing this early because I have an early flight tomorrow and won't be able to do it then lol.
